If weather is fine it is possible to see the islands of Elba, Capraia and sometimes even Corsica in the distance. The surrounding area is classic Tuscan country with olive trees, cypress, and pines.
Punta Ala is well-known for its trendy harbour, its sandy beaches and its very clean turquoise sea. Elegant resorts, golf, polo games, regattas, beach-going, port facilities, water activities of all kinds and night-life make this somewhat a special sea-side resort with a rather unique natural environment. But there are no-fee public beaches in between the private beaches as well.
In Punta Ala you will find all kind of services, supermarkets, nice shops and many excellent restaurants offering fresh seafood. The nearest restaurant is 2 km from the house.
The property is a perfect compromise for guests who are looking for a peaceful countryside environment with easy access to the seaside. Here you can enjoy beach life and blue water during the day and rest in the breeze of the countryside in the evening! Rome, Florence, Pisa and Siena are all within easy reach.
In 2010 the property has been fully restored and refurnished. The result is an atmospheric ambience designed with loving care for details. The layout and the decoration were a project of the property owner. She invested a lot of time and love in choosing the right marble, tiles and light fixtures for the kitchen and the bathrooms, and in finding the right material for the sofas and armchairs as well as having a few pieces of antique furniture restored. All rooms are provided with air-conditioning .
The house is accessed by way of an unpaved road (approx. 300 metres). An electronic entrance gate gives access to the property. The house is set on a 3 hectares property, and surrounded by neat lawns it faces south.
